RISD

I returned from an amazing summer at RISD on Saturday. I learned so much and would give anything to go back. This means that I have to go there for college!

After thought

I almost forgot! I was just browsing through my old posts, and I remembered how I had lusted after a dress from free people. Well, now I have the cash, but I oddly don't want the dress anymore. Or, I do want the dress but I don't want to spend my money on it. Plus, I checked and they don't have my size anymore. So I will move on.

P.P.S.
Another afterthought, I have made a portfolio of my work in my graphic design class.
It isn't finished, but I thought if there was ever anywhere to share it, this would be the place.

Resume

I have not posted anything in more than two months, but I thought the day before the last day of school was an appropriate time to restart. Plus, I found some things so adorable, I had to share.

  1. 500 Days of Summer. It has so many things I love, including Zooey Deschanel and her cute hair, and romance.

500 Days Of Summer Trailer from keith on Vimeo.

  2. A blog that actually led me to the movie: le love. It is exactly what it sounds like. Pictures of people in love. It's "a blog of romantic, lovey dovey, sexy, heart fluttering images."
  3. Another website that has kept me busy, and features another interest of mine: food! Foodgawker is full of high quality pictures of food, and links to the recipe! Looking at food is considerably healthier than eating it.

Well, now that school is over (almost! I've got one math final to go and I'm free!) I will try and be more consistent with posting, even while I'm at RISD precollege with my friend, Emily!

Things I intend on doing

my far future

You Choose

You can't always pick your shopping experience. The creators of the store try and design things the way they think you would enjoy, but they aren't always right. American Apparel is asking its customers to choose which picture they want painted onto the brick wall above their store in Harlem. I think this is a great step towards completely user friendly shopping experiences. I, am sure I am not the only one who doesn't benefit from the pulsing music that makes it too loud to talk and the dim lights so that you can barely see the clothes you're shopping for. Now, I am not a huge fan of American Apparel's prices, but I do like that what they're doing here. Go vote here!

Alexis Bledel

I really adore Alexis Bledel. I was, and still am, a fan of Gilmore Girls, and I truly believe that she is one of the must beautiful women in the world. I found this picture through Stumble Upon in a list of pictures of actresses in pin-up style photos. Most of them were more revealing and going for a sexy angle. This I understand because that is the main theme of pin-up pictures, but Alexis Bledel's (I typed Rory and had to delete it) made me stop scrolling and look. She doesn't look nearly as alluring as the other actresses on the list, but makes me think. When asked to do a pin up picture, you could go for the fun, easy way and take off your clothes, or you could recreate arguably the most famous feminist symbol out there. Honestly, I'm not sure what I would do when presented with that opportunity, but I sure am glad Alexis Bledel chose to do this.

Italy

Italy is high on my "places to visit" list, and it just moved one step up because of this video (found on shape+colour). It is actually stop motion, so it is made up of 4500 individual pictures. There are no words, but the two characters communicate in other ways, including notes and smiles.
